Community Diversity

Within our community is a rich mix of people who have different backgrounds and origins. Australia is a nation largely made up of immigrants and this has lead to Australia's vibrancy and multiculturalism. The map below locates where some of the people in my local community were born. Everyone will know at least one person who has immigrated to Australia; it could be one of your relatives, friends, teachers, doctors or maybe even yourself!

I'm Fi and I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. I came to Australia when I was 10.

I'm Felicia! I was born in Lausanne, Switzerland and moved to Australia when I was 2.

I'm James and I was born in Yangon, Burma. I came to Australia when I was 1 year old.

I'm Esther and I was born in Busan, South Korea. I came to Australia when I was 17 and again when I turned 41.

Hi I'm Bianca! I was born in Johannesburg and moved to Australia when I was 8 years old.

G'day! We're Annie, Crystal and Jekie and we were all born in Perth, Australia!

I'm Joanna and I was born in Wanganui, New Zealand. I came to Australia at the age of 35.

Hi I'm Ellen and I was born in Adelaide, Australia.
